Everything you need to know about the most extraordinary NYE celebration in Brooklyn
On New Year’s Eve in Prospect Park, you can expect fireworks—literally. Residents, friends, and family are kicking of the new decade with a bang. The spectacular
celebration, put on by
Prospect Park Alliance and Brooklyn Borough President
Eric L. Adams, is sure to be a great night in the iconic park.
Every year, Brooklyn gets a little bit brighter when tens of thousands of attendees come to watch the fireworks light up the plaza at the stroke of midnight. There aren’t just a few bursts and illuminations—there’s an entire
show! You can see the beautiful scene from
blocks away, but we recommend arriving early and getting front row seats to see the lights inside the plaza, which will be launched off the lawn.
Afterward, live entertainment will be provided by the Brooklyn-native group
Quintessential Playlist, who has performed at various fairs throughout the area. Have a great time
dancing and swaying to the music with your loved ones. All ages are welcome to this highly-rated and recommended event. Now in its 39th year, this family-friendly party is one of the city’s most popular and beloved celebrations. This year, it will usher in a wonderful start to the 20s!
